AUDITIONS

Have you moved to Germany from abroad or have a migration background?

Did you grow up hearing about fairy tales and folk stories or legends from your home land?

Do you want to share those stories with the wider Leipzig community?

If so, we want to hear from you!

ETL is weaving together a tapestry of folklore, fairytales and oral histories from all around the world for a theatre performance piece and we are looking for migrants or people with migration backgrounds to share their tales with us.

Whether you want to just share the story with us, or work with us over a period of time to perform it on stage, you are welcome here! The stories can also be told in your native language (it doesn’t have to be in English). You will work together with a professional team of theatre makers to bring your stories to life on stage. You can either share a story with us and stay behind the scenes, or you can continue the process with us as a performer.

The initial workshops / sharing events will be held on the 6th or 7th of September from 11:00 – 14:00 on both days. Send an email to production@englishtheatreleipzig.de for a sharing slot.

The shows will either be performed early December 2025 or February 2026, depending on funding. If you want to perform, we will need you to be available during those times and for rehearsals.
