
Dr Josiane Segar studied at the University of Oxford and received her acting diploma from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She now works as a performer, theatermaker and workshop facilitator focused on transdisciplinary and cross-cultural work. She leads projects such as the science-theatre “AnthropoScene,”, the community-based theatre space “The Playhouse”, the social-cultural theatre project “New Voices 3: Fairytales from Home” and the science-art project “Lebende Skulpturen” with the botanical garden in Leipzig. Additionally, has performed in 10+ productions in the Leipzig Freie Szene and works as a voice actress. For her interdisciplinary work, she was awarded an arts-science residency by the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in the Virgina, USA.
